Dear David,

I love you so much and indeed you have inspired me and guided me through that beautiful encounter of me and the wholeness many times when I’ve been desperate, sad, depressed, joyful and happy… All of this through the wonderful guided meditations…I can not wait to meet you in person!

It is my desire that all the wonderful things you have inspired on us will duplicate and fill your brain, heart, body, family and all of us who love you in a healing way!

Here is my prayer in my native language (Spanish):

Querido Dios padre celestial abrimos nuestra mente y corazon a ti, nos quitamos de el medio y confiamos en tu voluntad para que David pueda vivir esta experiencia en plena fe y amor absoluto…

Dear David and Family,
The thought of a brain tumor is so outside one’s life, not even on the radar. And then when you receive the diagnosis, there is shock, confusion, amazement, denial, emptiness, overwhelming, profound love for those around you and more. Having gone through this last year and being on the other side of treatment, I am still profoundly impacted by the experience and most probably changed forever in ways that I don’t yet understand. Tomorrow you will be entering the beginning of this new chapter. I wish you well and will think of you and your family tomorrow as they wait for the surgeon’s news post op. Know that you have given the gift of love and compassion to many and that gift is now yours to receive.

Dear Dr. Simon,

I had the pleasure of meeting you once, before a lecture you gave at a SPATEC Conference held at La Costa in 2006. When I found out that you were speaking, I couldn’t believe my luck as your work had already had such a positive impact on my life! And it continues to do so even today.

God works in mysterious ways. Many times people go through hardships so that they can set and example and teach others who go through a similar experience. As difficult as it may be to imagine at the moment, perhaps once you are healed, this experience will prove to be a great gift to others in the future. I just know that you’ll be inspiring and guiding people on a whole new level in no time at all.

In the meantime, you are in my thoughts and prayers and I look forward to hearing about your recovery!
