Do something that brings you happiness today
I’m really looking forward to the Free to Love course that begins this weekend. The supremely well-intentioned people who come to this program seeking freedom have set into motion the conditions that create transformation and expansion. Every impulse that expands our sense of self spontaneously expands our capacity for compassion and grace.
More than ever before, I am cognizant that although we may not always be able to direct the events of our lives, we can influence our interpretations. Therefore one of the kindest things we can do for ourselves is to choose perspectives that raise us to the highest levels of awareness. Whether you are participating in one of our intensively caring workshops or are simply eating your next strawberry with total awareness, you have the opportunity in every moment to experience gratitude, joy, and a deep sense of connection to the totality of life. Do something that brings you happiness today. By doing so, you will be in the greatest service to your individuality and to the sacred.
With love,
David

I think this is a good time to acknowledge the important work that M.D.s David and Deepak have done in shifting the focus of healing away from drugs & surgery, back toward the patient. Although it may be true in the case of certain acute conditions, that drugs or surgery may be temporarily necessary to save a life, we now know that real, lasting healing comes with the types of lifestyle recommendations that are given at the Chopra Center. We’re all mortal, but I think that if or when David and Deepak should return back to this plane, they will find, as a result of what they have started, a world more concerned with the patient than with the “violent medicine” (Andrew Weil’s term) that we’ve become accustomed to in our current age.
