An Update from David Simon
As all of your many kind thoughts and prayers have flowed in over the past couple months, I have completed my first round of chemotherapy and radiation treatments. I am currently recovering at home with my family, and while unable to personally respond to all of your sweet messages at this time, I deeply appreciate your support.
As David continues his healing journey, the Chopra Center staff invites you to share some of David’s inspiration and words of wisdom.
Embrace a Miracle
Life is an interesting game. We don’t remember choosing to play, the rules are rarely consciously communicated to us, and we don’t know when it will be over. Recognizing these challenges, we have a couple of choices. We can spend our time lamenting the unreasonable uncertainty of it all, or we can play with abandon.
The spiritual path encourages us to engage with enthusiasm and detachment – enthusiasm for the choice we’re making at this moment; detachment from any particular outcome.
Close your eyes, tune into your heart and listen to the current dialogue between your mind and body. If it is not in celebration of your life, ask what changes you can implement now to move you in the direction of greater joy, love and well-being. Then, as we’re reminded in A Course in Miracles, make a commitment to embrace a miracle rather than a grievance.
with love,
David

Dear David and family,
In the infinity of life where I am, all is perfect, whole and complete.
I recognize my body as a good friend.
Each cell in my body has Devine Intelligence.
I listen to what it tells me, and know that it’s advise is valid.
I am always safe, and Devinely protected and guided.
I choose to be healthy and free. All is well in my world.
These beautiful words are from Louise Hay and I really like to sent them from Holland to America to all of you.
Namaste

The surgery on my hand can’t even compare to your situation but to come upon it now is wow! My husband has been on me to use the mind body connection to heal my hand surgery. I guess I should use this time to learn and grow. To you as we would say “Feel the Heat!”
