In 2009, I was awarded the golden opportunity to be a Chopra Center Certified Point Person for David Simon while he was lecturing, and promoting his book Free to Love – Free to Heal.
I was so honored, and took such pride at familiarizing myself with all amenities at both The Institute of Neotic Sciences, where I came about 5 hours early to familiarize myself with the lavish center, and know beforehand how I could help, and better assist in the comfort of David Simon.
I had spoken with Teresa Long several times that day, (pre-cell phone days for me), however, the communications were clear from Teresa. Ask yourself, what are your own needs, and then be prepared.
The Institute of Noetic Sciences went well, and I felt confident in my sales man ship ability to helping promote the purchase of Dr. Simon’s book. David had many, many gifts, one of them is that he was a brilliant story teller. I loved listening to his stories, of a beggar and a police man, a walk to the post box with his daughters. A new venture by Max, or were did the meaning of your name originate.
Great story teller, sales man, well Max, perhaps there’s where your strengths outshine your fathers. At Copperfield’s Bookstore, I arrived several hours early, and confidently asked the staff for bottled waters, plants, a table cloth, and if snacks were available. I asked where his extra books may be for signing, I posed my Seven Spiritual Laws of Yoga classes on the other table expressing my audoraince for your father’s work. I felt prepared to meet all the needs your father may have. Then, upon his arrrival about 10 minutes before speaking time, he walked in, and I re-introduced, hugged him, gave him a briefing and asked him if there was anything else he would need. David, so calmly and approvingly leaned in and asked me “where’s the mens room?” I gasped, and he smiled and effortlessly, intuitively found his way.
This was in the middle of 2010, as I continued my education at Chopra Center University for my Primordial Sound Certification, whenever I passed David, our eyes winced at each other with a glitter, a memory of an moment past when we met with flexibility, curiosity, and having our needs met.
A very joyful memory,
A Point Person for David Simon

Why can’t pigs play basketball?
They always hog the ball.
